One of the quote from Born a Crime by Trevor Noah is quite inspiring and kind of in line with some of the quotes from this episode.
“I don’t regret anything I’ve ever done in life, any choice that I’ve made. But I’m consumed with regret for the things I didn’t do, the choices I didn’t make, the things I didn’t say. We spend so much time being afraid of failure, afraid of rejection. But regret is the thing we should fear most. Failure is an answer. Rejection is an answer. Regret is an eternal question you will never have the answer to. “What if…” “If only…” “I wonder what would have…” You will never, never know, and it will haunt you for the rest of your days.”
BTW, I love the quote: “Comparison is the thief of joy.” I will keep it in mind.
Thanks for sharing the Trevor Noah quote. I heard Born a Crime was excellent but I unfortunately haven’t had a chance to read it yet. The quote definitely reminds me of some of the ones we mentioned in our episode. I’ll keep it in mind next time I need a dose of motivation when making a big life decision!
I remember both of you guys brought up a famous quote “Find a job you’re enjoying doing, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” I found this quote quite inspiring as well.
I totally agree. That’s a good one also 🙂
