Your tips about winter clothes while traveling to the country in opposite weather impressed me. Speaking of the backpack, when my daughter came back to Japan from Vancouver during her summer vacation, her big suitcase was filled with a lot of winter clothes. She said, “My washing machine in the apartment in Vancouver is too small to wash them. Would you wash them until I leave Japan?” I was very surprised, but I finished all my work without complaint.
That’s hilarious! I sometimes used to take my clothes to my parents’ house to wash them when I lived in an apartment with no washing machine or dryer. It sure beat the laundromat!
Hi andrew, I wonder what ‘dumping’ means in ‘huge dumping of snow down south’
Hi Yerinn,
Awesome question.
In this context, “dumping” is a casual way to describe a large amount of snow that has fallen in a specific area. So, when we say “huge dumping of snow,” we mean a significant amount of snow has fallen in a certain place.
I hope this clarifies things for you. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
hi Andrew, where can I find the ad-free extra version of this episode you mentioned at the very end of the podcast? I cannot find it. Thank you in advance.
